Join us for an evening of Ring Shouting, Syncopation and Polyrhythmic intrigue with performing artists David Pleasant and Miles Griffith. The program centers around the fine art and signage of William M. Pleasant, Jr. whose work, The Huskster is featured in the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture, Cultural Exhibit. The painting embodies the power and resilience of Gullah-Geechee legacy. The Signs For Life Show, originally opened @ Cat Sparks Art! and the program at Afro Roots @ Goddard Riverside Manhattan, encourages full participation.
